Old factory

Since its inception in 1956 and  through its merging with the German Group Tacke,  Mecanica Olalde, S.A. (Tacke-Olalde) has been devoted to the design and manufacture of gearboxes for all industrial sectors, both in land (iron and steel, energy, mining, chemical) and marine).

The domain and experience of the designs and calculations of Tacke-Olalde, as well as the testing protocol undergone by all their products, has permitted them to be renown by their reliability

 

 

 

Sales Department

Formed by a team of workers with extensive technical and commercial experience, and good knowledge of the international markets, supported by commercial agents to cover the geographical areas of greatest demand (Germany, Holland, Belgium ...).

New factory

In 2005, after becoming Especial Gear Transmissions S.A. (EGT) merges the GAMESA Group (GCT).
EGT taking advantage from synergies within GAMESA group become the leading Spanish manufacturer both of standard or special design gearbox.
Under EGT brand are gathered activities of the Group, with the following particularities:

-Industrial activities are concentrated at EGT.

  • -The team of engineers works under a sole -Management, taking advantage from the design technologies most competitive of both companies.
  • A sole and independent commercial team.

 

 

 

 

TECHNICAL DEPARTMENT AND SERVICE

 

EGT has its own design department for both the industrial and the wind energy markets, being the first Spanish manufacturer entering the wind energy scope, first working with Ecotècnia (Alstom) and afterwards with EHN (Acciona).

We have available a complete database with more than 1.200 designs for different gear boxes.

The Manufacturing Engineering team combines experience with new technology, having implemented best practices, already proven in other GAMESA plants.

The accuracy and proper performance of more than 14.000 equipments manufactured for the last 50 years all over the world, show the skills and unique “know-how” of the engineering team of EGT.

EGT offers the possibility of an integrated refurbishment of any gearbox, including the change of a reverse engineering job, where the product will not only be repaired, but also optimized by the use of the most modern technical concepts in the field of gear boxes.

For the specific manufacture of gears, EGT disposes of:

And for the assembly and refurbishment of wind speed increasers and industrial gear boxes, the workshop has available room for:
